It was taken of Bucky at the school when he was 6 weeks old - around the end of July. He is posing in the harness he will wear as a Guide Dog.
I have to admit - it chokes me up with pride.
He has grown since then..... these next photos were taken November 2nd.
His coat is changing and he is losing his "puppy fluff" to longer, silkier and curlier hair. He's losing teeth and we've found 2. He's put in a request to the tooth fairy and is hoping that s/he will bring him extra rations of food. YES - he does like to eat. He wouldn't be a normal golden retriever if he wasn't interested in food.
Not sure how much longer John will be able to lift him up like this. He's already embarrassed to have the big dogs see him in this pose. (I was referring to Bucky....)
He's pretty smart. He has learned to run into the closet and steal shoes, socks, slippers.... anything he's not supposed to have. He then zips out of the closet - head high, tail wagging and coveting his prized contraband possession. When they are John's things I don't mind..... Bahahahahaha..... Well..... actually..... I've taught him he's not allowed in the closet so now he lies down at the door, looking pathetically sad. He seems to have the "pathetic look" mastered.
He is such a pretty boy! Looks pretty mellow too. That is one sweet puppy shot. Looking forward to following along with y'all for the next year !
